People who choose to make The Dales their home are encouraged to continue to live their lives the way they wish, as long as this does not adversely affect others. We have no set times for getting up or going to bed. We have only a handful of rules, and these are simply to help keep everyone safe. We structure our day to suit our clients needs and wants, because we believe it is up to us to accommodate their choices, and not have them adapt to our routine.

We not only care for the people who make The Dales their home but also provide support for their family and friends to help them cope with the inevitable changes in their lives as a result of a friend or loved one getting dementia.

We therefore encourage visitors at any time, including mealtimes. Visitors are always offered refreshments just as they would if they were visiting their friend or loved one in their own home.

Established in November 1986, The Dales is a family owned and run Residential Care Home offering Long term Residential Care, Day Care and both long and short term Respite Care. To compliment these services we also have a Specialist Dementia Care Facility.

Our team of dedicated, experienced highly skilled carers and support staff all work together to ensure that anyone choosing to make The Dales their home is assured of excellent quality care in a relaxed, friendly and homely environment.
